The Estée Edit by Estée Lauder - 50% off!
A brand that was created specifically for Millennials by Estée Lauder is being discontinued. Like most brands, before discontinuing, The Estée Edit collection is on sale at Sephora at least since May because that's when I purchased these two skin care products. All the products are being sold at 50% off retail price and are still available at Sephora and on the company website. Since winter was just wrapping up in Boston in May and my skin was dry, I decided to get the Rescue Balm for Face + Body and the Late Night Eraser - Brightening Eye Balm with Pink Peony.
The Rescue Balm which is a rich emollient cream healed my skin, period. The flaky skin disappeared within a week's time and my skin was back to its normal self. It is not too greasy but you have to remember that it's a balm so the consistency is thick and rich. For best results, use it overnight so by the time you wake up, your skin feels hydrated. I don't use it anymore since it's summer and my skin is naturally combination to oily. I will wait to bring it out once winter sets in. It doesn't have any fragrance and would work well for sensitive skin. It makes my skin soft and supple. According to Sephora's website, this wonder cream contains coconut, avocado, olive, mango, macadamia nut, lady thistle, jojoba, almond, grapeseed, soy bean, sunflower, and meadow foam seed. It can be used on the body as well; not just the face.
The Late Night Eraser is a brightening eye cream with pink peony as the main ingredient. I use it twice daily and love the effect it has on the skin. According to the Estée Edit website, along with pink peony, this cream contains apple, hyaluronic acid, and micro-powdered pearls that are known for their brightening effect. The consistency is thicker than a usual eye cream hence it's called a balm. It's not that difficult to pat into the skin though. You can leave this in the refrigerator and use the cool tip to massage into the under-eye areas. It is supposed to target puffiness and dark circles. It is not a shiny/glittery product so do not worry about that! It is just a great illuminating product. I don't have any issues with dark circles or puffiness but it does give a healthy glow. The skin under the eyes also feels moisturized and bright. I am happy with the results and it's a shame that this product will be discontinued soon. I took this eye balm with me on my last holiday trip and I am glad I made that choice.
The Rescue Balm for Face + Body originally retailed for $50 but now its price has been slashed to $25. I bought mine on Sephora's website and it's also available on the Estée Edit website. The Late Night Eraser was $42 and now it's $21. I bought mine in-store at Sephora, however, it's no longer available on Sephora's website. You can get it from the Estée Edit site.
I'd advise grabbing a few skin care or makeup products before they are gone for good. The price is insane! Estée Lauder is a brand I trust and I especially love the skin care line. I don't know why the Estée Edit line is being discontinued but my best guess is that since they have marketed to a certain segment all this while that a switch to a separate segment albeit with a different name is probably not being taken seriously. Well, I hope you enjoyed this post. Until the next one, have a great weekend/week ahead!
